2. Denim hot or cold packs. Take half a leg, sew up one end and fill it with rice or dry corn. Sew up the open end and you have a hot or cold pack. For a hot pack, just stick it in the microwave and for a cold pack stick it in the freezer.

3. Make a rag rug. Rep or cut the material into strips and weave them into a sturdy throw rug.

4. Make a hanging organizer. You can use several rear pockets or cut the material in the shape of a pocket and sew it to a larger sheet of fabric, preferably denim. You can also use the rear pockets with magnets to put on your refrigerator for notes.

5. Make a quilt. Cut your jeans into 4-inch squares for a quilt. Of course, this may take several pairs of old jeans. You can even use the heavily sown seams as declarations on the quilt.

6. Clothespin hanger. Of course, not many people use clothespins nowadays. However, once you have cut the legs off a pair of jeans, all you need to do is sew up the leg openings.

7. Make a purse. After cutting the legs off, sew up the opening, put a zipper or snaps in the waistband and you have a purse with side pockets.

8. Patches. Use the parts of old jeans that are still good to repair holes in your other pairs of jeans. You can either sew them on or use stitchery witchery. Make a fashion statement with your patched low rise jeans.

9. Potholders. Cut squares from the legs, layer that with quilt batting or other material and sew together. Sew the seams from the jeans around the edge of the potholder.

10. Make a scarecrow. Of course, this does work better with bib overall jeans. You will need a shirt with long sleeves and a pair of jeans. Tie off the cuffs and the legs and stuff was straw. You can use an old pair of gloves for the hands and an old pair of work boots for feet.

11. Make a can holder. You will need 3 pieces, 2 - 10 x 4-1/2 inches, straight cut, and 1 - 3-1/4 inches in a circle. Use quilt batting or other material and sew this between the 2 - 10 inch pieces. Sew the ends of the 10″ pieces together and sew the circle to when it. Reverse and you have a can holder.

12. Dinner placemats. There is enough material in each leg to make 2 placemats for the dinner table. I recommend that you quilt them and use quilt batting when you sew them together. Take one of the rear pockets and sew it to each placemat to hold silverware and/or napkin.

13. Denim Christmas stockings. You can replace your old stockings or make new ones as gifts and everyone will love them. You can easily use an old Christmas stocking for pattern.

14. Denim laundry bag. Rip the center seems, cut the legs to straighten the edge and sew together. Sew the bottom of the legs together from on the inside of the legs. Get a cloth rope and put through the belt loops and you have a new laundry bag.

15. Make a book cover. Making kids book covers that will withstand everything they do with books is fun. The books will love you for it.
